1. What�s in your wallet right now?Way too many credit cards, Drivers License and phone numbers to transfer to my little black book. 2. What do you wish your parents taught you about money?How to save it. 3. What is your worst habit around finances?I like to give more than I have. 4. What makes you happy?Making movies and being creative with talented people. The look on people's faces when you give them something. My connection to nature and being outside. Seeing people be nice and help others. MySpace. 5. Personal philosophy around money?Money is love. If you don't give it you won't have it. Money is energy, not cotton with some green printing on it and there is enough to share and go around. Never think about being in debt or you will stay in debt. Focus on the solution and never the problem (the problem being the debt). Money isn't everything, but it can do a lot of good in the world. Money will never make you happy, but sharing it will. 6. Where does money come from?The printing press? No, I think money comes from the heart. Money = Love. 7. What would you do with a million dollars?I would invest in a property. I would invest $100,000. I would get 100 hundred-dollar bills and go hand them out to the homeless downtown. I would donate $100,000. I would buy my mom a house in Louisiana. I would buy myself a much needed new wardrobe. 8. What is your most prized possession?I'm not really attached to any "material" thing. 9. Who is your role model?Oprah, Martin Luther King Jr., Buddha. 10. What is your greatest achievement?Surviving a very dark past. 11. How did you decide to become a filmmaker?I've always known I wanted to make movies since the first time I saw one. I thought it was the greatest magic show on earth and I wanted to be the magician. 12. What contributions to society do you want to make?I want to help raise awareness of environmental issues. I want to help raise the voices of young women to be heard. I want to help young girls become filmmakers. I want to inspire people to find love within themselves and quit searching outside of themselves. 13. If you could buy one thing right now what would it be?Consistent joy and a new BMW. 14. Favorite activity that doesn�t cost a dime?Sex, hiking and riding a horse (not at the same time of course!). 15. How do you indulge yourself?Spas. I love Korean spas! Massages, facials, body scrubs etc. I also love to travel to Asia. Katherine Brooks has an extensive list of film and television credits. She has directed three seasons of the Emmy-Award winning show, "The Osbournes," the highly acclaimed show "Newlyweds," starring Jessica Simpson, and MTV�s groundbreaking "The Real World." Katherine also directed and produced "The Simple Life" with Paris Hilton and the controversial pilot for FOX, "Coming Out." She recently helmed "He�s A Lady" for TBS, "Town Haul" for TLC, MTV�s "There and Back" and the new season of "Meet the Barkers" with Blink182 drummer Travis Barker. Her latest project is the feature film "Loving Annabelle," now on DVD from Brooks has garnered dozens of awards for her film work including The Emerging Filmmaker Award at the Italian Film Festival and the Grand Jury Prize at the Chicago Film Festival. Her films have played at over 100 festivals around the world and she gained critical praise for her short films, "Finding Kate" and "Dear Emily." Her cult following on MySpace has also garnered many fans due to her inspirational blogs that promote a refreshing outlook on life. L |
