1. What's in your wallet right now?

Picture of my niece Tara, a five dollar bill, couple credit cards, gym card, ID and a picture of my parents.

2. What do you wish your parents taught you about money?

My parents taught me everything about money—invest, spend wisely, save for the future and give back when you can. They answered all my questions.

3. What is your worst habit around finances?

I pay everything before the time allotment and balance my budget weekly. If anything, I need to spend a little more on fun activities rather than saving everything.

4. What makes you happy?

My family, creating beautiful products that people actually enjoy using and looking at, helping underprivileged children, water sports, and a night that I can just watch a movie in sweats!

5. Personal philosophy around money?

It's very similar to having good or bad karma—if you position yourself to use it as a positive tool to assist in the attainment of healthy goals that better society at the same time as your self. If not, than it can backfire. It's a boomerang - how you treat it will ultimately circle back.

6. Where does money come from?

Hard work, determination, strategy, through process, passion, assisting others around you to also benefit from your goals or vision.

7. What would you do with a million dollars?

Invest it. Try to quadruple it then save half and utilize the rest to help with the education and development of underprivileged children!

8. What is your most prized possession?

My faith.

9. Who is your role model?

My father.

10. What is your greatest achievement?

Developing the idea of a skin care water and making it a reality after almost half of people/vendors/retailers etc introduced to the idea said that it would never work.

11. How did Borba™ come about?

Honestly, I was rushing out of my house to catch a flight and I tripped with a handful of supplements, a liter bottle of water with a couple skin care products in hand. They all fell into a puddle together and that was my epiphany moment.

12. What contributions to society do you want to make?

We are an active member of Covenant House California. A non-profit organization that takes children off the street, provides them with housing, medical assistance, counseling and helps them get a new start in life. Every Borba™ package speaks about this charity and offers contact information, and we also donate actual employee time and product.

13. If you could buy one thing right now, what would it be?

Selfishly, a house by the beach.

14. Favorite activity that doesn't cost a dime?

Running.

15. How do you indulge yourself?

A long hot shower, a nap, a long drive on the coast (with the windows down) and spending time with my family and loved ones.

Scott Vincent Borba has been at the cutting edge of the cosmetic industry for over a decade, creating products reflecting the belief that beauty comes from feeling your best, an inner confidence that radiates outward.
