1. What’s in your wallet right now?

Credit cards and about $100 in cash.

2. What do you wish your parents taught you about money?

Money was scarce in our family so they taught me to save and to minimize debt.

3. What is your worst habit around finances?

I don't use outside financial planners.

4. What makes you happy?

Seeing people who work with me become more successful in their jobs and achieve their dreams.

5. Personal philosophy around money?

Always have enough to do the things you enjoy.

6. Where does money come from?

Hard work and investment.

7. What would you do with a million dollars?

Give it to charity.

8. What is your most prized possession?

My engagement ring my husband gave me for our 20th anniversary.

9. Who is your role model?

Oprah Winfrey.

10. What is your greatest achievement?

Starting a business at age 48 and growing it to a business 7 years later that is $200 million plus.

11. What organizations do you support?

Washington University, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, the Committee of 200.

12. What contributions to society do you want to make?

I want to make a difference in education and in the retail industry—haven't figured that all out yet.

13. If you could buy one thing right now what would it be?

A new house that was totally decorated the way I want and ready to move in! This is about time, not money!

14. Favorite activity that doesn’t cost a dime?

Spending time with my husband at home in our backyard.

15. How do you indulge yourself?

I love to read and I also like to go to the spa.
